Eric Radde followed his artist path by earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art from The University of Texas at Arlington with a minor in Graphic Communication. His artistic training led him down the path to a 30-year advertising career. His time as a Creative Director, and later as an agency owner, allowed him to use his artistic inspirations to market others. The award-wining work created by him received local, regional, national, and international recognition.
In 2022, Eric retired from his advertising career and moved to Southwest Florida to get back to his roots as a fine artist. His works incorporate acrylics and ink to represent the world in a colorful display of simplified shapes and details.
Eric is currently represented at DAAS Coop in Fort Myers and Tower Gallery on Sanibel Island.
ART STYLE
Eric Radde’s artwork blends modern minimalism and graphic design, creating compositions that play thoughtfully with positive and negative space. Using acrylics and ink, he transforms everyday subjects into bold, simplified shapes, offering a cartoon-influenced view of the world. By focusing on forms rather than fine details, Radde encourages viewers to see the environment around them in a more accessible, playful way. His work shifts between macro and micro perspectives, balancing abstractions with humor and a sense of rhythm and movement. Bold colors, fluid lines, and layered textures evoke both energy and calm, while his graphic sensibility gives the compositions clarity and impact. Through this combination of minimalism, abstraction, and design-minded structure, Radde transforms ordinary scenes into imaginative, expressive worlds that invite a renewed appreciation for the shapes that surround us.
